Nothing can stop music! In the cabin of the plane you can take your musical instruments if they weigh a maximum of 12 kg and measure under a total of 100x37x25 cm and you must store them in the overhead bins.

2. Musical instruments in the hold

We treat your musical instruments as carefully as you do! If you check them into the cargo hold of the plane, we will make sure that they always travel safely so that you can bring the flavor of music to your destination without mishap. 
Be sure to:

  • Purchase the additional service.
  • Your instrument must weigh a maximum of 32 kg and measure no more than 366 linear cm (which corresponds to the sum of the height, width and length).
  • Musical instruments that travel in the hold of the plane must be well protected, in a rigid case.
  • In addition, you must sign the limited liability receipt that is located on the back of the luggage tag, acknowledging that Viva is not responsible for the condition of your musical instrument checked into the cargo hold, since it is considered unconventional luggage .

3. Musical instruments as a personal item

If your musical instrument fits under the front seat, you can take it with you at no extra cost! You can carry your musical instrument as a personal item if it weighs a maximum of 10 kg and measures no more than 40x35x25 cm and is stored in a soft case. 
Remember: this must be your only personal item (as a replacement for the backpack or purse included in your ticket) and must be placed under the front seat during your flight.
